Rod has been working in the music industry since 1981 when he started as an intern at Synchrosound Recording Studio in Boston. He subsequently worked as a recording engineer and producer for dozens of major label studios in Boston, San Diego and Los Angeles. In 1995, Rod founded the band Flat Black, which was quickly signed to MCA Records and toured all over the country until 1999. He moved to New Mexico and started working for the National Dance Institute of New Mexico as their sound engineer, eventually moving into the position of Technical Director and Facilities Manager for NDI-NM in 2004. He currently keeps busy as a music composer and producer for television with compositions featured on network dramas One Life To Live, Days Of Our Lives, Friday Night Lights, and Life. Rod joined Kids Excel El Paso as Pianist and Music Director in January 2006. |
