Amanda is a graduate with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance at UTEP. She has been dancing for 25 years in styles ranging from flamenco, folklorico, ballet, jazz, tap to contemporary dance. She has been privileged to have studied with Ingeborg Heuser, Andree Harper, Lisa Smith, Myron Nadel, Emily Morgan and Oskar Antunez. She was a principal dancer with the UTEP dance program and has worked with the UTEP Dinner Theatre where she was also a co-choreographer for the Holiday Spectacular show. She has taught Pre-Ballet/Creative Movement at the University of Texas at El Paso as well as at El Paso Community College and was the Student Recruitment Officer of Dance at UTEP for four years. She also started and headed the Spirit Dance Troupe at San Elizario Middle School during 2001-2004. She began working with Kids Excel in Fall 2009. |
