ANDI Conference in NYC
ANDI - Associates of National Dance Institute, inspired by the work of Jacques d’Amboise, strengthens associate organizations by providing a forum to share best practices, maintain standards of excellence and promote the growth of community arts education programs for children. Representatives from children’s arts education programs around the U.S. (New York, New Mexico, Texas, Idaho, California, Virginia, New Hampshire, Colorado, Vermont, North Carolina, Ohio, and New Jersey) met November 9 - 11, 2007 to share teaching techniques, discuss music, and ideas for fundraising and marketing. ANDI conferences are held to support the professional development of teaching artists, board members, and administrative staff members of like organizations by sharing knowledge and inspiration

Gemtria St. Clair Presented With 2007 REACH Award
Our own fearless leader, Gemtria St. Clair was presented the the REACH Award for the Arts category by Rene Hurtado and Sandra Braham during the YWCA's annual REACH Recognized Achievement awards luncheon Tuesday at the Camino Real Hotel. (See Photo)

SWAT Starts Up
Our inaugural SWAT session for the 07-08 school year started up yesterday afternoon. It was exciting to experience a record turnout of over 80 enthusiastic dancers!

Kids Excel Web Site Updated
The New Kids Excel website is live! Just as our program is experiencing rapid growth, so too our web site has grown. We have revamped the look and have added many new sections. (Some sections are still under construction). Check out our new promotional video!
