2011-2012 curriculum focus will be on nutrition and fitness.
The objectives of the KEEP Fit! Kids Getting Healthy program are to positively impact the wellness of KEEP’s young students, inspire them to set and achieve physical fitness and nutrition goals, and empower students to make good choices in the management of their health. Through the magic of music and dance, KEEP will expose 2400 elementary students to the value of healthy choices that include active living and nutritious eating. KEEP’s innovative, dynamic, and interactive program activities are particularly well suited to deliver this important message.
KEEP aims to inspire a new generation of wellness through weekly dance classes, KEEP Fit! lesson plans, and educational performances. Dancers will explore the impact that positive lifestyle choices have on energy, wellbeing and learning, and learn how they can educate themselves and others about nutrition and fitness. Children can be motivators for change when they are empowered with knowledge that they can share with their parents and siblings.
