KEEP classes support academic achievement through cross-curricular activities and teaching techniques that support the kinetic learner. Kids Excel classes translate into increased self-confidence in the classroom, positive risk taking, and the discipline to achieve difficult goals. Children increase their ability to concentrate, focus and attend to a task. They learn that with hard work, they can achieve difficult goals.

Kids Excel’s artists work with a curriculum theme throughout the year, integrating academic learning into the KEEP classroom and supporting our classroom teachers in their goal to educate, empower, and inspire their students. Children learn to explore math and science concepts with physical movement and space, thereby exploring new and creative ways to learn. Music education is embedded in the curriculum.

2007–2008 curriculum theme is Physical Science and follows the 4th grade science curriculum set by the EPISD. Children explore mass, matter, volume, density, solids, liquids, and gases and other science vocabulary with their bodies, giving them new and creative ways to integrate and understand. Our End-of-the-Year Event will be about Albert Einstein, and will incorporate many of the scientific concepts learned throughout the year.
