Peggy is a second generation El Pasoan. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at the University of Texas at El Paso. Upon graduation, Peggy taught elementary school in grades four through eight over a seven-year period. For the past 25 years Peggy has been sole owner and proprietor of Peggy Feinberg Photography, specializing in outdoor child and family photography. She and husband Andy raised two daughters. Peggy served on the boards of all of the girls’ PTA’s, Parent Councils and PTSA’s. Peggy’s other past board experiences include Zeta Tau Alpha Alumnae, National Council of Jewish Women, Pro-Musica, El Paso Symphony Orchestra Guild, and Junior League of El Paso to include Vice President of Community Projects as well as Active Volunteer Member of the Year. Most recently she served as President of El Dedon Verde Garden Club. Six years ago, Peggy and a friend recognized the difficulty El Paso girls were having with the transition to college life. They developed a Recruitment Workshop for senior girls and their mothers that offers “how to” information as well as insights into college life. Each spring, they spend countless hours preparing these young women and their mothers for the big step of leaving home. Recruitment has become a more positive experience for more than 200 young El Paso women who have ventured out of our city for college. Peggy has been an advocate for Kids Excel since its inception and recognizes the benefit that this unique arts education program has on disadvantaged children in El Paso.
