Banner Project

Each time Kids Excel solidifies a program in a new school, a local artist is designated to work with the students to create a unique, brightly colored 10’x5’ banner that reflects student culture and school pride in the program. Collaborating with artists on the creation of the banner offers students another creative outlet and helps them

understand the importance of set design, staging, and creative expression in addition to dance. These beautiful banners are taken to the schools and hung up to create stages, wings, and backdrops for performances, reinforcing the dancers’ connection to and shared experience with the other schools in our program.
