Stephen was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in El Paso, Texas. He received his B.B.A in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and is an Honorary Fellow from St. John’s College. Stephen is the Chairman of the Board and CEO for Dorsar Investment Co. Inc. He has a long history of philanthropy and public service, including serving as a past Advisory Director for The El Paso Community Foundation. He is also on the Board of the St. John’s College Board of Visitors and Governors, The Santa Fe Institute, United Way of El Paso, Child Treatment Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, National Organization on Disability, Arts for the Aging, and The Feinberg Foundation. Seeing the difference that NDI instruction could make in the life of a child, Stephen had a vision to bring the work of the National Dance Institute of New Mexico to the children of El Paso. This vision led to the founding of Kids Excel El Paso. His leadership as Founding Board Chair and his dedication to the success and growth of Kids Excel has been a beacon, gathering community leaders, businesses and individuals to the organization. |
